Our mission at RISE Scholars is to empower Hamilton School students to realize their full personal and academic potential by providing them with an array of targeted and thoughtful curricular and co-curricular opportunities that support the development of a growth mindset, a positive attitude, and high achievement.
Mission Statement:
Describe the Tutoring or Mentoring Opportunity
One to One Mentoring: One hour per week during lunch or after school to be individually determined. Our mentoring program matches Hamilton students with a caring adult from the community who comes alongside them and is a source of support and encouragement in their life.
Math and Reading Intervention: Mornings on Tuesday and Wednesday. We work with Hamilton School teachers to identify students who are not at grade level in 1st and 2nd grade. We then work with these students once a week during the school year to bring them to grade level.
Math Academy: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30. Math Academy is designed for motivated students grades 3-5 who are ready to challenge themselves and build a strong foundation for future academic and career success.
Algebra Prep Academy: Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30, This class is designed for motivated students who are taking Pre-Algebra or Algebra and want added support to be successful.
Chess Coach: We run a thriving Chess program for 2nd-8th graders that meets during lunch and after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00. If you know even a little bit of chess we would love to have you join us and play chess with our students.
Athletic Coach: We run a comprehensive athletic program that includes clinics and competitive sports. Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Track and Field. We need volunteer coaches to work as lead and assistant coaches.
Summer School Tutor: Our summer program runs for the month of July from 9am-3:30pm. We need classroom aides and tutors.
